Grade : Ordinarily Resident (OR) : FSN-3
Not-Ordinarily Resident (NOR) : FP-BB
*Final grade/step for NORs will be determined by Washington
BASIC FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Office Management Specialist (OMS), the Escort Driver will transport personnel and equipment and provide messenger service to the Ambassador. The Escort Driver will drive the Ambassador’s follow vehicle and transports Ambassador advance team both days and evenings. The Escort Driver will maintain the Ambassador’s car in clean and serviceable conditions and ensure that any mechanical problems are resolved. He/she will drive other official cars and transports other Embassy personnel when necessary.

Education – Must possess an Elementary school certificate.
Work Experience – Three years as Driver
Language Proficiency – Required : English, Level II ; French and Kirundi, Level III. (These will be tested).
Knowledge : A strong knowledge of the geography and physical setting of Bujumbura and Burundi.
Skills and abilities –Driver’s license, ability to drive safely, knowledge of Burundian driving code, knowledge of government offices and sites. (This willbetested.)
