Work Hours : Full-time ; 40 hours/week
Note : Closing time for submission of physical applications is 16:00 (Monday through Thursday) and 11:00 on Friday.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
The candidate performs under the GSO Property Unit, serves as Warehouseman managing and maintaining warehouse contents stored therein : moving supplies, equipment, and furniture between offices, residences, loading and unload furnishings and equipment from trucks at warehouse and residences located both on compound and throughout the city. The candidate handles setup and breakdown of event equipment, assist in inventory control of accountable property, providing escort services for local contractors. He/she works alone or as a team member to provide escort and perform manual tasks by using physical strength, equipment, or machinery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION :Completion of elementary school is required.
EXPERIENCE:One year working experience with moving, loading, and unloading furniture or other heavy equipment required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE :Must be able to distinguish between furniture and equipment, heavy and fragile items. Must know proper space use and proper stacking of goods on shelves, floors, houses and warehouse cages.(These will be tested)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Effectively participate in a receiving, storage, and distribution operation. Perform moderate to heavy manual tasks. Understand and carry out oral and written directions. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Lift and carry heavy loads (up to 70 lbs /32 kg) according to SHEM regulations. Cross-train to provide coverage during absences in any GSO Property Management section.
